Message from the President
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the home site of the South African Society
of Anaesthesiologists (SASA). As the new President of SASA it is both my
pleasure and duty to offer my thanks and congratulations to the organising
committee of the recently held 14th World Congress of Anaesthesia in Cape Town.
I believe that a new benchmark for World Congresses has been set by this
meeting. I wish to single out the efforts of Dave Morrell, Mike James, and Andre
Coetzee in organising this event. |

Following the success of the SASA 2007 Congress held at Sun City in August 2007 and the significant
financial gain of R125000 profit to SASA, the decision to once again hold a combined congress with
ASSA/SAGES has been taken by the SASA Executive.
