21st INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF THE ISRAEL SOCIETY OF ANESTHESIOLOGISTS Tel Aviv, Israel September 16 -18, 2008   Dear Colleagues, We take great pleasure in inviting you to the 21st International Congress of the Israel Society of Anesthesiologists, which will take place in Tel Aviv, September 16 - 18, 2008. It has become an ISA tradition to organize a scientific congress every third year to provide a fruitful exchange of opinions between Israeli anesthesiologists and our foreign colleagues. Our aim for the 2007 congress is to strengthen the scientific liaison and friendship between Israeli anesthesiologists and our foreign colleagues and to share with them the most recently acquired scientific knowledge in the field of anesthesiology. A large variety of scientific topics will be discussed in various frameworks, such as panels, controversies and workshops. A significant number of speakers from Israel and abroad will contribute to the scientific program, among them some very well known personalities in anesthesiology and related fields. Young physicians will benefit from a well-balanced refresher course, which will include state of the art presentations in different fields of the profession. This will provide our young physicians with an opportunity to see and hear what is being performed today in our profession, worldwide. Some of the topics are directly related to the anesthesiologist’s daily practice and we do hope that the new data to be presented on this occasion will enrich the participants’ skills and knowledge. Our venue, the Dan Panorama Tel Aviv Hotel and Convention Center, is situated on the Tel Aviv beachfront promenade overlooking, the sparkling waters of the Mediterranean and golden sandy beaches, just a short walk away from the ancient port city of Jaffa. Tel Aviv, “the city that never sleeps”, offers varied and vibrant nightlife combined with museums, theatres and concerts, providing activities for everyone. Pre and post congress tours will be arranged providing participants with the opportunity of seeing some of the exciting and unique attractions in Israel.
